These data demonstrated that tributyrin can efficiently inhibit gastric cancer cell growth by inhibiting DNA synthesis and inducing apoptosis. The tributyrin-induced apoptosis is associated with down-regulation of Bcl-2 expression and up-regulation of Bax expression.
