Just Cause

正当理由

合理解雇通知(Reasonable Notice)与错误解雇(Wrongful Dismissal)当雇主以正当理由(Just Cause)解雇员工时,雇主可以不发给雇员合理解雇的工资. 如果雇员选择将雇主告上法庭,雇主有责任向法庭证实雇主解雇雇员的行为属于正当理由.

根据New IDEA法案,如果雇主放着时薪为15元的合法工人不用,而雇用一个时薪为10元的非法劳工,那么在国税局审计时,将对雇主支付给非法移民的工资和福利不给予减税(Tax deduction)的好处,雇主交纳的税收、加上利息以及雇用非法劳工的罚款
