The issues of present seismic wavelet frequency caused by different concepts, such as apparent frequency, dominant frequency, peak frequency and centroid frequency, etc., which are defined by different methods, and understanding deviation, definition of seismic wavelet frequency for time and frequency domain are concluded and summarized. On this basis, three kinds of seismic wavelets in common use such as Ricker and Zinc wavelets as well as sine wavelet with exponential attenuation characteristics are analyzed and a conclude is achieved that apparent frequency and dominant frequency are consistent in essence, but peak frequency and centroid frequency as well as apparent frequency or dominant frequency are not completely consistent with different seismic wavelets. For actual seismic data, peak frequency can approximately be used as dominant frequency, but it is not suitable when seismic wavelet is known for it can give out any wrong knowledge and results.

Finally, whether the assured service mechanisms i. e. an edge router tags every arriving packet of a TCP flow based service profile and core router drops packets differently at congestion using active queue management scheme is possible to provide a throughput consistent with target rate, is investigated under different network scenarios. Different factors including target rate tagged algorithm, RIO algorithm and TCP congestion control mechanism how to affect the throughput of an assured service TCP flow are examined. Based on a fluid model. we then derive a model of an assured service TCP flow, which is the function of round trip delay, packet loss rate and token bucket parameters. Based on this model, we observe that in some cases it is possible to regulate the token bucket parameters to gain a consistent throughput with the target rate, while in other cases there exist ranges of values of the achieved rate for which the token parameters have no influence. With the latter, some modified TCP congestion control mechanisms to assure TCP throughput are proposed.

The seed purity of more than one hundred and thirty samples of six maizevarieties was assayed by using the three testing methods: storage proteins electrophoresis,isozyme isoelectric focusing in acrylamide and examination at field plots. Some importantpoints can be concluded from analyses as spearman order rank correlation on the seedpurity data as follows:First, there were deviations of the real performances to those purities obtained from out or in laboratory testing, even from the examination at field plot that is a routine way. Second, the seed globulin and isozyme electrophoresis, both with characteristics of rapid, cost-effective, devoid of environmental effect and speed, showed consistent purity; while the field-testing gave a higher degree of purity on the high side of cost than that in-lab approaches.
