靠不住的

Although schoolmistress' letters are to be trusted no more or less than churchyard epitaphs; yet, as it sometimes happen that a person departs this life, who really deserving of all the praises the stone-cutter carves over his bones; who is good Christian, aparent,child,wife, orhusband.

一般说来，校长的信和墓志铭一样靠不住，不过偶然也有几个死人当得住石匠刻在他们朽骨上的好话，真是虔诚的教徒，孝顺的儿女，贤良的妻子，尽职的丈夫，他们家里的人也真是哀思绵绵地追悼他们。

一般说来，校长的信和墓志铭一样地靠不住。不过偶然也有几个人当得起石匠刻在他们朽骨上的好话，真的是虔诚的教徒，慈爱的父母，孝顺的儿女，尽职的丈夫，贤良的妻子，他们家里的人也真的哀思绵绵地悼念他们。同样的，不论在男学校女学校里，偶然也会有一两个学生当得起老师们毫无私心的称赞。

However, in reality, women are apt to make their men but not themselves big trees, which they can rest on. Even those elegant and aloof poetesses admit sometimes longing to be choked with tears against men's shoulders. But unexpectedly men can't carry women's romance.

这是诗里面说的，而现实生活中的女人总想找一棵大树，好乘凉好依靠，就连绝不攀援绝不依附的女诗人自己也说，有时真想&伏在你的肩头失声痛哭&，但事实上，男人的肩膀也靠不住女人的浪漫啊！
