In order to realize that the human is one part of nature so as to have affections toward the wilderness and to have interconnectedness and interindependence with the wilderness, Muir thought the human needs to get into the wilderness with humbleness, to experience the beauty as well as the intrinsic value of the wilderness, and become God's good steward.
