The pituitary gland consisted of neurohypophysis and adenohypophysis. The adenohypophysis was divided into anterior lobe, intermediate lobe and posterior lobe.

The results indicate its pituitary belongs to back-abdomen gland; neurohypophysis in the middle; pre-adenohypophysis the front and edge of the back of pituitary with PRL cells and ACTH cells; mesoadenohypophysis middle and behind of back with GH cells, GTH cells and TSH cells; meta-adenohypophysis behind of abdomen with only one kind of secret cells by histology.

结果表明：瓦氏黄颡鱼脑垂体为背腹型腺体。神经垂体居中，前腺垂体位于垂体背面前部和后缘，由PRL细胞和ACTH细胞组成；中腺垂体位于垂体中部及背面后部，包括GH细胞、GTH细胞和TSH细胞，后腺垂体位于垂体腹面后方，组织学研究仅见一种分泌细胞。

The results were as follows:The pituitary of Long-snout catfish included adenohypophysis and neurohypophysis. The adenohypophysis have six-cell types in common,i.e adrenocorticotro-phs,lactot-rophs,somatotrophs,gonadotrophs, thyrotrophs, and Melanotroph cells. In neurohypophysis, there were three types of neurosecretory fibres, types A1,A2 and B.There were different typesgranules in type A neurosecretory fibres axone.In type B neurosecretory fibres axone, there were many small transparent vesicles.

结果表明：长吻魷脑垂体包括腺垂体和神经垂体两个部分，腺垂体组织中有六种分泌细胞即促肾上腺皮质激素分泌细胞、催乳激素分泌细胞、生长激素分泌细胞、促性腺激素分泌细胞、促甲状腺激素分泌细胞、促黑色素细胞刺激激素分泌细胞；神经垂体组织中存在A型(A_1、A_2)和B型神经分泌纤维，A型分泌纤维轴突中具有不同类型的分泌颗粒，B型分泌纤维轴突中含有许多透明小囊泡。

A sandwich ELISA was established taking the antiserum as the primary antibody. The sensitivity of the ELISA was 0.412 ng GH/ml of sample. Inter-assay and intro-assay coefficients of variation were 2. 58％(n=6) and 5. 69％(n=6) respectively. Serial dilutions of serum and pituitary homogenate from orange-spotted grouper yielded dose response curves that were parallel to the standard curve. And the GH of Acanthopagrus butcheri was also parallel to the standard curve. Prolactin of goldfish and recombinant growth hormone of common carp showed no cross-reactivity with the antiserum of orange-spotted grouper GH. It showed that the established RIA was specific and sensitive.

以斜带石斑鱼重组GH抗血清为第一抗体，羊抗兔抗体为第二抗体建立了双抗体夹心酶联免疫测定法，该系统的灵敏度为0.412ng GH／ml(n=6)，组内变异系数为2.58％(n=6)，组间变异系数为5.69％(n=6)，斜带石斑鱼血清和脑垂体稀释液曲线与斜带石斑鱼重组GH蛋白的标准曲线相平行、黑棘鲷GH的系列稀释曲线与标准曲线相平行，金鱼催乳素、重组鲤鱼GH的系列稀释曲线与标准曲线不平行，表明建立的斜带石斑鱼GH ELISA具有良好的特异性和重复性，灵敏度达到了测试血清样品中GH的水平。

Scintillation count showed that the radioactivity of the CVOs was higher than that of the background. The radioautography showed that the scattered grains of silver existed within the cells of neurocyte layer also.

结果 在脑室周围器官及脑室周围室管膜、软脑膜层有HRP反应产物的聚集，在鼻中隔的鼻粘膜下组织间隙、嗅丝周围间隙及静脉周围和管腔内也可见到HRP反应产物；液闪计数显示，大白鼠的脉络丛、脑垂体、最后区、松果体等脑室周围器官放射性活度明显高于本底；放射自显影显示大白鼠脑组织神经层细胞内有散在分布的银颗粒。
