As the economy goes dormant, world-wide charity donations have shrunk drastically. However, the number of people in need of help has been growing, so Tzu Chi volunteers in Dallas, Texas held a charity bazaar.

Still in Japan, October 10th is Taiwan's National Day. This year, the Tokyo Association of Chinese Residents chose to commemorate the holiday with an early charity bazaar. Tzu Chi's Japan chapter was also invited, and prepared traditional Chinese dishes and vegetarian delights.
