Rht-Blc in "Tom Thumb", a native wheat germplasm originated in Tibert, China, is a semi-dominant and GA insensitive gene. It has stronger effect on plant height than Rht-Blb and Rht-Dlb and could be the cause of lower activity of a-amylase in the wheat grain of Rht-Blc-carrying lines.

小麦矮杆基因Rht-B1c来源于我国地方品种西藏大拇指矮，表现为半显性、GA不敏感的矮化表型，携Rht-B1c基因的籽粒内α-淀粉酶活性低、抗穗发芽。

According to the basic information such as origin, agricultural characters of different germplasm, 444 representative domestic cultivars, belonging to 13 species or varieties, 7 genus of cucurbitaceae respectively, were selected as experimental materials to identify their resistance to root-knot nematode using the inoculation method of infected soil.
