In view of product quality of cross wedge rolling semifinished product of automotive power-shift box middle shaft which has heavy sectional shrinkage, numerical simulation and experimental method were adopted to analyze single wedge rolling and second wedge rolling method. It is found out that contrast second wedge rolling, single wedge rolling will not make workpiece bend easily, and after rolling the workpiece has no neck shrinkage.
