The strategies of high order sliding mode control and sliding mode control with integral action are proposed. Without losing the virtue of robustness and the ability of eliminating disturbance, these strategies can minimize the chattering phenomenon which is quite common in conventional sliding mode control.

The first one is an algorithm with terminal sliding mode equality constraint. The second is a dual-mode control scheme, which enlarge the terminal region.
