Two sorts of polyacrylate derivates were designed and systhesized. One has benzoic acid groups linked to backbone via an alkyl chain of different length, the other has pyridyl groups at its side chain. On the basis of hydrogen-bonding between carboxyl and pyridyl groups, multilayer film was fabricated in mixed solvents. We studied the effect of either the composition of mixed solvents or length of alkyl chain on the structure of a multilayer film.
