The present study is designed to investigate the usefulness of a new diagnostic criteria of MEFVC, flow volume angle, for the diagnosis of ventilatory dysfunction and early detection of small airway obstruction. Meanwhile, we also establish the predicted normal value of the pulmonary function testing and to investigate the possibility to predict body height by measurring the length of arm span or sitting height.

本研究之目的是利用流量容积角当作用力呼气流量容积图形之新的诊断指标，轨整体通气功能与早期呼吸道阻塞方面之诊断能力进行探讨，同时建立正常人之肺功能预测值公式，并讨论量取手臂长或坐高对推测预测值公式中之身高这项变数的可行性。

The results show that (1) the flow volume angle A50 is a reliable parameter for the diagnosis of MEFVC;(2) the flow volume angle A75 has the best sensitivity for early detection of small airway dysfunction;(3) we also establish the normal predicted equations of pulmonary function testing for the adult Chinese in Taiwan area.(4) length of arm span and sitting height are reliable indices to predict body height for the calculation of normal pulmonary function data.

结 果显示：流量容积角A50 可当作用力呼气流量容积图形之总体肺通气功能检查的诊断指标；流量容积角A75 对早期小呼吸道之功能不彰具有侦测的功能；本研究亦建立了在台湾地区之成年中国人的正常肺功能预测值公式，以供参考用；量取手臂侵与生高之值确可用来推测身高值。

Results ① before the operations, all physical growth characters of the moderate and severe osahs groups were significantly lower than those of the control group, however only the height and sitting height of the mild osahs group were lower than those of the control group.② 6 months after the operations, physical growth characters of the mild and moderate osahs groups were not significantly lower than those of the control group, but some of the severe osahs group still were lower than those of the control group.

结果 术前：中、重度osahs组患儿体格发育指标均低于对照组儿童，轻度osahs组患儿仅身高和坐高低于对照组儿童；术后6个月：轻、中度osahs组患儿体格发育指标与对照组差异无统计学意义，重度osahs组患儿仍有部分体格发育指标低于对照组。
