The results showed that:(1) The relative weight gain, special growth rate, feed conversion rate, feed protein efficiency and protein deposition rate were improved significantly (P.05) by supplementing compound acidifier in common carp diet.(2) The protease activities in the liver pancreas, fore and middle intestines increased significantly (P.05) by supplementing 0.3% compound acidifier. The activities of amylase and lipase were improved after the supplementation, but not at significant level.(3) Supplementation of compound acidifier in common carp diet did not significantly affect the fish body protein, lipid, ash, moisture contents, coefficient of fatness and viscerosomatic index.

Temporal and spatial expression pattern of gibel carp pou2 during embryogenesis was investigated by RT-PCR and whole-mount in situ hybridization. RT-PCR result indicates that there is maternal transcript of gibel carp pou2 in early embryos and the zygotic pou2 transcript is abundantly expressed from blastula stage. Large amount of pou2 transcript is detected at both 50% and 90% epiboly stages. At 100% epiboly stage, however, the pou2 transcript reduces rapidly and disappears at the later embryogenesis. Whole-mount in situ hybridization shows that the maternal transcript ubiquitously exists in all blastomere cells.

Genetic diversity and phylogenetic relationship in goldfish were examined using mitochondrial D-Loop partial sequences at eight representative varieties of goldfishes and wild crucian carp. The eight representative varieties were Red Common Goldfish, Red Fantail, White Oranda with Red Carp, White Pearlscale, Red Tigerhead, Black Moor, Red Moor with Butterfly Tail and Red Bubble-eye with Dorsal Fin. 699 base-pair nucleotide sequences of Mitochondrial D-Loop were examined and analyzed for genetic polymorphism, Sequences data showed that all 129 sequences were grouped into 17 haplotypes. Nine representative varieties shared same haplotype. Five representative varieties of goldfishes had haplotypes respectively.

The results show that the spectrum of total pigment of koi carp had two absorption peaks in visible light (454 nm and 470 nm). The growth rate, weight gain and specific growth rate of red-white of koi carp fed with 1.0 g/kg β-carotene tended to be obviously higher than the control group (P.05), while the FCR of groups fed with 1.0~2.5 g/kg β-carotene was significantly lower than the control group (P.05). The colouring of red-white and red region in koi carp was the best at 1.5~2.0 g/kg β-carotene in diet, while the n-carotene added in the diets did not have any effects on total carotenoid concentration of skin/scale of white region. The n-carotene mainly deposited in skin and fin ray. And it mainly transformed into astaxanthin in koi carp.
