The analysis, comparison, and induction of the testing results prove the enhancing effects of the rare earth on the matrix composites: degeneration, micro-alloying, purification, and catalytic activation. The comprehensive function of these effects leads to the decrease in the porosity of the matrix composites and to the increase in such actual indexes as the flexural strength, hardness, and impact ductility of the whole rare earth Fe-based diamond tool materials.
