The phenomenon of moon in the water is likened to human experience. 水月的现象比喻为人类的经验。

The water is the subject, and the moon the object. 水为主题，月亮的对象。

When there is no water, there is no moon in the water. 如果没有水，没有在水中没有月亮。

And likewise when there is no moon. 而同样在没有月亮。
