We wait since the day He ascended 我们等待那一天起，他登上了

He said He would come again 他说，他会再来

Some think it will be such a long time 有些人认为这将是这么长的时间

Some they the know just when 他们有的将明白何时

We live like there's no tomorrow 我们活得像没有明天

We wait with out lamps of oil 我们等待与出油的灯

We watch for the midnight hour 我们看的午夜时分

The day we cease our toil 这一天，我们停止我们的辛劳

When the trumpet sounds and the bridegroom comes 当号角声和新郎来

   

The wedding's gonna be so royal 婚礼会是这么王室

So we gotta keep staying loyal 所以我们得继续住忠诚

'Cause our feet are gonna leave this soil “因为我们的脚要离开这片土壤

When we burn the midnight oil 当我们挑灯夜战

Some wait from the top of the mountain 一些等待从山顶

Away from the world below 离下面的世界

Some work while there's still a harvest 有些工作虽然还是有收获

No rest when there's seed to sow 没有休息的时候有种子播种

We go out to wait for the bridegroom 我们走出去等待新郎

Some bring oil of readiness 有的带来了战备油

Some lamps will be burned out waiting 有些灯将被烧掉等待

Left out in their emptiness 离开了他们的空虚

Will our lamps be full at parousia? 将我们的灯要全部在耶稣基督再临？

   

When the bridegroom comes we will hear the call 当新郎来，我们将听到呼叫
