入口景观区是整个景区对外展示的窗口，庄重雄伟的牌楼，古色古香的建筑、整洁苍翠的林荫广场、造型简洁的石谷坊、灵秀的景石向游客浓缩地展现了田家沟生态风景区的特色，形成了入口环境的标识性景观，烘托出古朴、雅致而又不乏热烈的入口氛围；同时也是游人停车、买票、购买旅游纪念品的公共场所，设有停车场2处、休闲观光广场3处，游客服务中心，咨询服务中心各1 处。

五龙景区是武当山名胜风景区重要组成部分，位于武当山西神道。由于历史的原因和景区交通不便，该景区属一个尚待开发的景区，景区内有五龙宫、将军庙、隐仙岩、金花洞、仁威观、姥姆祠等10余个文物景点，以及28万亩的国家级森林公园。景区的东南面与南岩、金顶两个景区相连，北、西边与车城十堰、汉十高速公路相依。景区内自然景观、森林景观和人文古迹等旅游资源十分丰富，开发价值大，经济效益十分可观。随着武当山旅游资源的发展，旅客市场的需求，为进一步开发和保护五龙宫的旅游资源，拟修建五龙景区公路。
