Without anther structure, the carpel, it is protruding that the outer edge grows tumour form.The growing style of stamen and pistil is the adhesion type or the scattered type. The shape of pistil is straight or hooked. The opening style of flower is full-nfolded,half-closed or full-closed.

Gli CMS的花瓣皱缩，雄蕊变为羽毛状、花瓣状、丝状或者退化；无花药结构，心皮化，周缘生有瘤状突起；雌雄蕊着生方式为粘连型，有的是散生型；雌蕊有的是直柱形，有的是钩型的；花朵开放方式为全展型、半闭型和全闭型。

Morphology of sexual reproduction abortion in'High Noon', a distant hybridization cultivar of tree peonies(P.delavayi var. lutea×P. suffruticasa), was systematically investigated with light microscopy and cross. The results indicated that:(1)The stamens matured earlier than the gynoecia and pollens dispersed at the early stage of anthesis but the rate of normal 2-celled pollens were merely 2.41%.

采用光镜和杂交等方法对牡丹远缘杂交一代品种'正午'有性生殖败育进行系统形态学观察发现：(1)雄蕊较雌蕊先成熟，初花期即散粉，正常2-细胞花粉仅占2·41%，且花粉在多种培养液中、在自身和其它两种柱头上均不萌发；柱头在谢花期大量分泌粘液，进入最佳授粉状态；(2)同一胚珠中多个大孢子母细胞减数分裂高度不同步，胚囊发育与受精延迟，部分胚乳游离核在细胞化时期分裂异常；(3)自花及品种内异花授粉不结实，天然授粉结实率为0·053‰~0·130‰。

Mostof florets were made up of normal paleola, more pistils, fewer stamens and 40.4% of themconsisted of three pistils, 45.25% four pistils. Most anthers were malformation and onestamen had two anthers in some florets. More than 97% ovarys were abnormal, 2/3 ofwhich consisted twin-ovary, and 2 to 4 stigmas were on the same ovary. 7.6% floretsdisplayed stamen- origin pistils.

对突变体颖花的解剖观察结果表明，浆片正常，雌蕊增加，雄蕊数目减少，其中40.4％具有3枚雄蕊，45.25％具有4枚雄蕊；花药大多畸形，存在一花丝两花药现象；子房97％以上畸形，其中双子房占2／3，每个子房柱头数2-4个不等；约有7.6％的颖花出现明显的雄蕊雌蕊化现象。

番木瓜刚开花阶段，正常性花渐增加到高峰，是时雄蕊心皮化型性花则渐增加，随后正常性花渐增达到高峰，此时雌蕊退化型性花则渐增加，如此规变化可於四番木瓜品种。
