In the current study, a series of cationic α-helical peptides of 20 a.a. were designed and synthesized based on four structural parameters, including charge, polar angle, hydrophobicity, and hydrophobic moment. Several methods were performed to describe the influence of these parameters on the antimicrobial and hemolytic activity, and on the permeabilizing effect on model membranes. The potential of these parameters to increase the antibacterial activity and to improve the prokaryotic selectivity is assessed.

本实验利用自行设计合成的人工抗菌胜肽当模型，固定长度为 20 个胺基酸，改变其电荷、极性角度、疏水性及疏水性矩等四种结构特性，并利用其对各种不同病原菌之抗菌活性及对兔子红血球细胞的溶血活性来研究其结构特性的改变对其抗菌活性、选择性及微脂体膜的渗透性之影响，以期望改变结构参数能增加抗菌活性及对原核的选择性。

AIM: To investigate the effects of sodium ferulate on cholesterol and triglyceride metabolism in atherosclerosis with hyperlipidemia.

目的：观察阿魏酸钠对高脂血症引起的动脉粥样硬化过程中胆固醇和甘油三酯代谢的影响，进一步探讨其抗动脉粥样硬化的作用机制。

Methods: 1. Rats in the study were divided into six groups: normal control group, hyperlipidemia group (fed with high-cholesterol diet), atherosclerosis group (vitamin D〓 intramuscular injection, endothelium denudate and fed with high-cholesterol diet with vitamin D〓), L-arginine group (besides treatment as atherosclerosis group, 2.25％ L-arginine was added in the drinking water), chitosan group (besides treatment as atherosclerosis group, 5％ chitosan was added in the diet), simvastatin group (besides treatment as atherosclerosis group, 0.03％ simvastatin was added in the diet). The study lasted 90 days.

The data shoewed that esculetin, resveratrol enhanced LPL expression up to about 1.2 ~3.5 fold compared with the control group. In addition to fibrates, however, no effect on LPL expression by curcumin was observed. We concluded that esculetin and resveratrol enhanced LPL expression on CHO-K1 cell. We hope that we can apply these drugs to mutant form LPL, furthermore apply theses drugs into clinical treatment.

利用药物处理有转染带有完整人类脂蛋白解脂酶启动子和脂蛋白解脂酶cDNA 序列(-1715 ~+1643)质体的CHO-K1细胞，从细胞培养液以及细胞溶解物中发现，除了curcumin之外所有药物都可以使得细胞培养液以及细胞溶解液内的脂蛋白解脂酶活性有1.2至3.5倍的上升，由此结果可知除了curcumin外，esculetin和白藜芦醇以及其他fibrate药物可降低三酸甘油脂血症。

方法选取住院并接受冠状动脉造影(coronary angiography， CAG)的患者40名进入本研究，均于CAG前采集空腹血，检验C反应蛋白、肌钙蛋白Ⅰ(Troponin Ⅰ，TnⅠ)、甘油三酯、总胆固醇、高密度脂蛋白胆固醇、肌酸激酶、肌酸激酶同工酶MB，并收集所有患者年龄、年龄、高血压史、糖尿病史、吸烟史、体重指数的资料。

Methods: The model of acute myocardial ischemia in rats was developed by ligaturing the left descending anterior coronary artery. Forty male Wister rats were divided into normal control group, ischemia model group, Xuesetong group and Verapamil group. The effect of Xuesetong on the CPK, LDH, SOD and MDA in serum and myocardium and myocardial infarct range was observed.
