This thesis observes and studies the changes in the narration of the swordsmen popular novels in the 1930s and 1949s, and taking as an example the two works fashionable at time during the Republic of China period-Xiang Kairan"s swordsmen popular novel Legend of Wandering Remarkable Swordsmen and Gong Baiyu"s swordsmen popular novel story of Joint Darters, examines and discusses the evolution of narrative modes.
