Results 371 bp DNA fragment was amplified from 24 different species. The sensitivity could be improved to 10-12 g. No signal was observed when human DNA,funguses and viruses were used as templates. 22 blood samples and 4 cerebrospinal fluid samples, being positive with culture, were positive by using PCR. The gramnegative and grampositive probes hybridized to clinic samples and different species, as predicted by Gram stain characteristics.

In this paper, a total of 56 relatively nonpoint source pollution sediment samples were collected from the tidal flats of the Jiuduansha shoal and the Chongming island of the Yangtze river estuary. The main properties i. e., grain size distribution, contents of DCB (dithionite citrate bicarbonate extracted iron Fe(subscript d, AAO extracted iron Fe(subscript o, total Fe, DCB extracted Mn Mn(subscript d, total Mn, organic matter, magnetic susceptibility of the samples, as well as the concentrations of Cu, Zn, Pb, Cr, Cd and Ni in the samples, were determined. Analyses of a neighbor-joining tree of identified DNA haplotypes and F values between samples, and an analysis of molecular variance revealed significant genetic differences between samples from Portugal and Taiwan, but no differentiation among the samples from Taiwan.
