The results show that the optimal value of CoCl2 concentration is 0.2 mol/L and the maximum adsorbed amount is 19.674 mg/g onto this adsorbent. Meanwhile, adsorptive phosphine removal performance may be a dominant of physical adsorption when the heat of adsorption is 16-24 kJ/mol, the CoCl2-modified ACF adsorbent will be one of the candidates for tail gas purification of airtight calcium-carbide furnace and recycle of phosphine.
