Conventional tillage with bare ground, conventional tillage with straw incorporated and no-tillage with straw mulch were studied in the Hexi corridor of Gansu provience. The result showed: on summer fallow NTS stored soil water more than CTB and CTS by 30.62mm and 23.91mm, respectively; the winter storage irrigation quotas should be reduced to 900~1350 m^3/hm^2 on winter fallow; evaporation controlling rate arrived 38.1% and 7.3% at winter storage irrigation quotas 975m^3/hm^2 and 2100m^3/hm^2, respectively; NTS did not reduce ET during the spring wheat growth stage; yields different between treatments was not significant.

The results showed that (1) compared with conventional N treatment, the N loss of economic N treatment reduced while NUE and N residue in soil improved under water-saving condition;(2) Use efficiency of fertilizer applied as basal fertilizer was higher than that as top-dressing fertilizer under water-saving condition;(3) The fertilizer N residue rate was from 29% to 41%, and 60% of N residue, which distributed in 1m depth soil concentrated in 0～20cm surface layer;(4) In whole growing stage of wheat, fertilizer N hadn't leach to 130cm depth;(5) NUE of economic N treatment under conventional irrigation decreased by 16.6% compared with the same N treatment under water-saving condition.

Effect of water saving was studied under no-tillage with straw mulch, conventional tillage with straw incorporatedand conventional tillage on bare ground. The results showed that NTS increased soil water storage by 30.6 mm and 23.9 mm over CTS and CTB during summer fallow.

The effect of heat treatment temperature and its holding time on the eutectic carbides in M2 cast-strip was explored. The eveolution of metastable phase of M2C eutectic carbide during the heat treatment period and the decomposition dynamics concerned were researched. The M2 cast-strips were rolled into thin strips and the effect of deformation ratio on carbides in M2 cast-strip was examined. Then these thin strips were comparied with those that were produced by conventional technology on carbide, hardness, red-hardness and bend strength. At last the rolled M2 cast-strips were made into saw blades and their cutting performance was experimented on in tools factories and then compared with that of similar products produced by conventional technology.
