It is thought that the channel bay line evolution processes can be divided into four stages. The first stage is soon of the sea level stable when the bayhead mountines are eroded and developed abrasion geomorphy and the productive materials were transport into the bay deposition by the tidal current and wave current and were reworked into gravel dams. The second stage is characterized by the fluvial output sediments and eroded sediments mixed deposition in channel bay and developed marine accumulation plain and sand riges in the plain under the wave reworked. The third stage developed clay silt marine accumulation plain under the action of the channel current and the wave action is very limited. The fourth stage is marked by human being reclaim which result in the channel bay filled and evoluted into a strait arce coast.

The sand dunes analyses data have shown they mainly consist of well sorted, symmetry skewness and find sands, and the kurtosis peak is narrow or very narrow. On the other hand, the sandy deposits of the continental shelf of East China Sea are with wide range of grains, and the depositional pattens are quite complicated.

海岸沙丘是晚全新世以来相对稳定的海平面背景下的海岸带风成堆积，其沉积特征是以细沙为主，分选好，搬运方式以跃移占绝对优势，偏度上近对称，峰态窄到很窄；石英颗粒表面机械作用形态丰富，风成作用形态叠加于河流和海滩过程形态之上，碟形坑和撞击麻点是最为常见的表面形态，而新月形坑和曲脊是其指示性的特征标志；沙丘沙重矿物以化学性质稳定、比重较大的种类为主，反映了海岸带目前的高能动力环境；海岸沙丘沙的沉积构造以高角度前积层和低角度顶积层组成的交错层理为典型特征，同时还含有少量内陆沙漠所没有的少量贝壳碎屑和强烈磨损的有孔虫壳体。

After analyzing the impacting factors of natural vulnerability along the Pearl River mouth, the paper divides the coastline of approximately 412km into 25 15-minute gird cells. For assessment purposes, the six variables including geography, relative sea-level change, average tide range, regional slope, shoreline erosion or accretion rates and tropic cyclone impacting frequency are selected as assessed variables. Once each section of coastline is assigned a risk value for each specific data variable, the costal vulnerability index can be useto calculate the natural vulnerability of the areas along the Pearl River mouth. After that, the paper develops a database for assessment of coastal vulnerability to sea-level rises and protracts a 1:2,000,000 vectors CVI map of the coastlines along the Pearl River mouth.

为了探讨不同海岸带对未来海平面上升的自然脆弱性，本文以珠江口沿岸作为研究个案，在分析珠江口沿岸自然脆弱性的影响因子的基础上，把珠江口沿岸412km岸线划分为25个15′×15′的网格单元，选取了地质、海平面上升率、平均潮差、区域海岸坡度、海岸侵蚀/堆积率、热带气旋影响频率6个评价指标，应用CVI指数评价公式对珠江口地区进行海岸脆弱性评价，并建立海岸脆弱性评价数据库，绘制了珠江口沿岸1：2，000，000的数字化CVI图。
