It is a book of bread-and-butter. We understand that there are so many books about Chinese grammar, which are systematically huge; have numerous and jumbled content; and cockamamie and difficult terms are everywhere. Ordinary learners of Chinese are often terrified by the sight of these books. On the contrary, the learners will be the center of this book. Considering the learners present grammar level, this book explains the grammar rules simply and clearly without difficult terms.

作为一本实用的汉语语法参考书，本书借鉴了以前的一些汉语语法书因体系庞大、内容庞杂、术语繁琐难懂而使一般汉语学习者望而生畏的经验教训，努力做到&以学习者为中心&，充分考虑到他们现有的语法知识水平，在解说语法规律时注意条理清楚，简单明了，深入浅出，基本上不用深奥难懂的语法术语。

Based on the above concept, we develop the fixation-chunk concept when reading Chinese and define it as related Chinese chunk in the scope of every fixation point.

基于此，本文提出了汉语阅读&注视块&(fixation-chunk)的概念，将其定义为汉语阅读中，人在其知觉广度范围内，通过眼睛每次注视的客观区域所对应的汉语组块。

II. Many students believe that there may be a corresponding word in English to each Chinese word and thinks that the extension of English words' cultural connotation completely equals that of Chinese, thereby applying English mechanically according to Chinese lexeme.

The academic significance and the applied value of research into Yi structural auxiliary words include the following: 1. The structural auxiliary words play an important role in Yi grammar. Many problems in Yi syntax could be solved if the special features of Yi structural auxiliary words were understood. 2. The study of Yi structural auxiliary words may provide a foundation for a theoretical framework of function words and clarify the rules for the development of Tibeto-Burman languages. 3. The study of Yi structural auxiliary words may help in the study of Chinese grammatical history. It can supply some useful clues in the study of Chinese structural auxiliary words and the historical evolution of Chinese grammar.

彝语结构助词研究的学术意义和应用价值在于：1、结构助词在彝语语法中占有重要的地位，认清了彝语的结构助词特点也就解决了彝语句法的大部分问题。2、彝语结构助词的研究有助于建立藏缅语族语言虚词理论框架，弄清藏缅语族语法手段的发展规律。3、彝语结构助词的研究有助于汉语史的研究，可以对汉语结构助词和汉语语法历史演变的研究提供许多有用的线索。4、彝语结构助词的研究还会对彝语文的规范和教学、双语教育、翻译出版等起到有益的作用，具有实际应用的价值。

Firstly, we analyze animate noun from three semantic features of control; secondly, we compare the power of person, organization and location in order to check out their animacy; thirdly, using VP-internal Subject Hypothesis in Transformational and Generative Grammar, we investigate Chinese, Kachin and Hani of Tibeto-Burman languages and give out the animacy hierarchy of semantic roles; fourthly, we discuss the animacy of personal pronoun, referential pronoun, proper noun, general noun and abstract noun; fifthly, topic and subjectivity pay attention to the variation of animacy of noun in the paragraph from pragmatic and cognitive points of view respectively; sixthly, we compare the numerical representation of noun in Chinese and Tibetan and other Tibeto-Burman languages. The conclusion is drawn on the relationship between number and animacy; lastly, the influence of popularity on animacy is pointed out. The fifth part includes conclusion and questions leaving behind.

第一，自控度从、、三个语义特征考察名词的生命度；第二，权力度主要通过比较指人名词与机构名词、处所词的权力度大小来检验其生命度的高低；第三，题元角色是运用转换生成语法关于动词短语内部主语的假设，考察汉语和藏缅语族的景颇语和哈尼语，对题元角色的生命度等级序列进行排序；第四，定指度和指称、专有及抽象性主要是考察人称代词、指示代词、专有名词、普通名词和抽象名词的生命度高低；第五，话题和主观性分别从语用和认知两个角度考察名词生命度在语篇中的变化情况；第六，数范畴涉及汉语和藏缅语族的藏语、独龙语、羌语、普米语、景颇语和哈尼语，主要比较它们名词表数概念的差异，总结数范畴与生命度的关系；最后，列举了通俗度对汉语名词生命度的影响。

The paper explores the characteristics of Chinese topic structure and puts forward four English translation methods: 1 corresponding method, because topic is sometimes merge with subject; 2 adding method because omittance phenomena exist in Chinese; 3 adjusting method, because in Chinese actions go in the direction from topic to comment; 4 separating-based method, because in some Chinese topic structures, topic and comment can have two different ways of separation, thereby resulting in ambiguity.

本文通过探讨汉语和英语主题结构的特点，比较了两种语言在主题结构上的差异，提出了翻译的原则：在汉译英时，当汉语和英语在主题结构上有相同用法时，可采用对应法翻译。当汉语和英语在主题结构上用法不同时，根据英语为主语突出语言的特征，通过增添、调整等手段来恢复句子的主语；如无法识别主语，则可通过其他手段，如被动句。
