Metaphysics can be distinguished for abstract and concrete metaphysics. The origin 、resource、whole and world prospect of language are different kinds of metaphysics. Their same character lies in different understanding about existence. The concrete understanding about existence requires that the concern on existence relates to the existence of man, overcome the separation between essence and appearance, facilitate time and existence、existence and existencer. The concrete understanding on existence consists concrete metaphysics.

回顾形而上学的历史不难发现，存在着抽象的形而上学与具体的形而上学，从追求存在的始基，到以观念为存在的本源，从预设终极的大全，到建构语言层面的世界图景，构成了抽象的形而上学的不同类型，它们共同的特征在于对存在的抽象理解；对存在的具体理解要求将存在的关注与人的存在联系起来，扬弃形上与形下的分离，克服本质与现象、体与用、一与多之间的悬隔，沟通时间与存在、存在与存在者，对存在的具体理解，构成了形而上学的具体形态。
