作为中国传统文化之主体的儒家伦理，已经确立了中国传统文化的"基德"或"母德"，这是在长达2000多年历史发展中形成的，经过先秦时期的百家争鸣，形成了独树一帜的儒家思想，董仲舒提出"抑黜百家、独尊儒术"的建议，确立了儒家在中国社会的统治地位。经过以后历代的兼收并蓄和对立融合，发展成为儒、道、佛融合一体的宋明理学，近代中国社会对儒家思想的批判性发展，促使人们对儒家伦理思想进行时代的反思。荣格的分析心理学思想为东西方道德观的比较提供了一种独特的研究视角。

Firstly, facing up the serious national crisis, the deficiency of governmental efficiency of ching dynasty made monarchy lose the legitimacy. Secondly, the poverty of the thoughts of absolute monarchic powers and the rise of nationalism offered the advantage for the spreading of republicanism. Thirdly, there were contradictions and defects in the thoughts of reformist, which weakened the ideas of monarchy and made for the establishment of republicanism. Finally, in the evolution of political thoughts history from 1840, the thought of revolution replaced the notion of reformism and dominated the ideology. The establishment of republicanism was an inevitable result of the transformation.

共和思想在中国的确立，首先是晚清政局、政治统治有效性缺失，导致传统专制政体的载体——君主制失去合法性基础的结果；其次，中国古代君主制度下绝对君权理论的匮乏和近代民族主义的兴起，为清末民初共和思想的肇兴提供了便利；再次，立宪派关于君主立宪的理论存在着极大的缺陷和矛盾，削弱了这一主张的效力，反而起到了为共和思想张目的作用；最后，从近代以来中国政治思想史的演变来看，革命观念取代改良思潮成为思想界的主流话语，共和思想的确立正是这一转变的必然结果。

In all, the thesis obtains the following two objects: First of all, the points of view that people have discussed are excluded. Moreover, the thesis concentrates on adding Bacon"s thoughts that people haven"t emphasized, and corrects the mistakes that people have made concerning Novum Organum. At the same time, the thesis evaluates the viewpoints of Bacon and Novum Organum from historical and dialectic angles. Second, combining the contemporary scientific ideology, the thesis concludes that the viewpoints of Novum Organum are great inspirations to the Modern science. In all, this thesis reviews the philosophical and scientific viewpoints of Bacons Novum Organum on the basis of analyzing the materials of Bacon and Novum Organum. The thesis is divided into four parts.

所以，本文欲采用史学研究与哲学分析相结合的方法对前人的见解和培根及其《新工具》本身进行系统的探讨，希望能达到以下两大目的：首先，对《新工具》中前人已着重论述过的思想不再涉猎，致力于补充培根其他哲学和科学思想的研究资料，并剔除对培根思想的一些误读，同时把对培根的评价放入历史的长河中进行具体研究，用辩证的眼光看培根在那个特定时代下所做出的贡献；其次，在对《新工具》中的思想进行研究时，时刻结合当今现实和当代科学思维成果，古为今用，洋为中用，发掘《新工具》对今天的启示。
