Village women in these areas are becoming aware of the importance of health care and the harmfulness of gynecological diseases. More women are willing to seek medical advice than before. Financed by the program, 134317 women in the program target counties get the access to medical examination, and 104728 of them were found to be gynecological diseases sufferers. Among which 66.91% are cervical infection, 32.28% are vaginitis, 17.72% are pelvic infection, 10.91% are adnexitis,0.39% are metroptosis, 3.15% are cervical cancer, 0.69% are urinary fistula.

通过人员培训、设备配发，一定程度上提高了项目地区妇幼保健和乡卫生院妇女病防治的服务能力；通过多种形式的健康教育，使项目地区广大妇女对妇女病的危害及自我保健意识有了明显的提高，主动就诊率由项目实施前的24%提高到55%；通过项目经费资助，6个项目县为134317名妇女进行了妇女病普查，筛查出各类妇女病患者104728人，患病率77.97%，其中宫颈炎占66.91%、阴道炎占32.28%、盆腔炎占17.72%、附件炎占10.91%、子宫脱垂占0.39%、宫颈癌占3.15/万、尿漏占0.69/万。
