The special thing about Liu's art is that his works are not expressions of general emotions (what is commonly known as 'follow the feelings'), or graceful skills, or utilitarian interpretations of practical questions the latter is originated from France in the 18th century and its revolutionary tradition, namely political and utilitarian behaviorism tradition. French didacticism philosophers in the 18th century, just like the early renaissant civic humanists, advocated active and vibrant way of life and fought against ruminative way. They were not interested in metaphysics, and cared about practical issues—moral, mental and social--in their lives. They were confident of human future and held undoubted faith in history progress.

从这一点出发，路翎的小说很有价值。他的小说不管是描写工人还是农民，都带有浓重的知识分子情结。他的关于知识分子的小说，更是极力关注人物的精神动态。本文从现代知识分子品质的角度——自由、启蒙与反思，打量路翎四十年代小说中的知识分子人物的特质，企图在这种论说中使路翎小说的光彩重现，也从中窥视那一代青年在那个时代的心路历程。他小说中的那些人物，在人生的道路上一路狂飙过去。他们反叛一切不合理的东西，对传统、家庭、新生的权威开战，也对自己身上旧的、暧昧的因子毫不留情。他们在哪里也停留不下，他们的人生和流浪紧密地联系在一起。在这个不断的流浪和叛离中，他们认识自己，追寻自由、光明，力求与人民的真正接触。也正是在这个背叛—寻找的过程中，他们享受了狂飙的酣畅淋漓，也体会到了内心各种力量撕裂的痛苦。路翎小说的内涵很丰富，本文只是抽取了知识分子这个角度进行研究。当中的一些命题：自由、传统、个人与集体在今天还是很有研究价值的。

As early as Before Chin Dynasty, the Confucianists had developed the learning tradition that virtue and truth were emphasized equally. Their learning principle was self-cultivation in both benevolence and wisdom, i.e. moral inquiry.The learning tradition of ancient West mainly means the learning tradition created by Socrates and developed by Plato and Aristotle. It paid close attention to existence and the intrinsic consistence of knowledge and benevolence.The Enlightenment had dual influence on existentialism meaning of learning. For one thing, it created conditions for the liberation of human. The call for ration, freedom and democracy aroused inquiry spirit in education. For another,"subject-object" dualism looked oh scientific knowledge as rigid object truth, and human mind became "mirror" to reflect the objective reality. So education degenerated into knowledge indoctrinating and skills training. It depressed inquiry spirit and human creative personality.

先秦以来儒家的学习传统是强调真理与德性并重，儒家的学习原则是仁智双修，德性探究；古代西方的学习传统，主要是指由苏格拉底所开创，经柏拉图、亚里士多德继承和发展的关注人的生存、追求知识与&善&的内在一致性的学习传统；启蒙运动一方面为在教育中实现人的解放创造了条件，对理性、自由和民主的呼唤催生了教育中的探究精神，但另一方面，启蒙理性的&主-客体&二元论性格，使得科学知识变成僵化的客观真理，人的心灵变成反映客观实在的&镜子&，教育由此退变为知识灌输和技能训练的过程，压抑了探究精神和人的创造个性。

Subjectivity: Wang Yangming\'s main emphasis is that everone having the ability of self-realization; The features of processing: emphasize the the specific "li" linked to specific things rather than abstract one.this is another major feature of Wang\'s thought; The features of enlightenment: denial of the external "li",also rejected the outside of the supreme authority and the status of classic,established the status of the subjectivity; Extreme position of moral values: Wang completely put the concept of saint moralized, reflecting the extreme positiong of moral values;Strong voluntarism color: highlighted the main activities, the self-determination and the non-substantive of the subjectivity,giving the will an utmost importance status,there is a strong color voluntarism on Wang\'s thought.

主体性：以成圣之道为例，王阳明强调主体自身能够自我完备、自我实现；过程性：强调关系，强调在具体的情景、具体的关系中展开的理、与具体的事物联系在一起的理，而不是抽象的、不变的理，这是王阳明思想的又一大特色；启蒙性：否定了外在&理&，也否定了外在的权威和经典的无上地位，确立了主体的地位；道德价值本位立场：王阳明把圣人观念彻底道德化，体现出了道德价值立场。

寻根探源历来是研究作家创作思想的重要方法和不可或缺的步骤，但当前对张炜小说创作&思想资源&的研究却不多见。本文认为，张炜小说创作的&思想资源&多元而丰富：儒家文化的入世情怀与仁爱思想，道家文化的天人合一与自为自在精神，鲁迅的启蒙观念与理性精神，俄国文学的道德理想与苦难意识，民间文化自由与奔放的人间情怀，及以&焦虑&、&绝望&为认知特征的现代西方哲学等等，都对张炜小说创作思想的形成、发展产生了重要影响。
