The study needs enterovirus infections data in Taiwan from 1999 to 2005. The sources of data include the sentinel surveillance system, the Notifiable disease reporting system and the contract lab data. Statistical methods used for the analysis of seasonal variation include graphics, chi-square test for goodness of fit, method of decomposition and circular distribution.

使用之研究材料为1999年至2005年台湾肠病毒的监测资料，包括定点医师於每周报告之手足口病与疹性咽峡炎病例、法定传染病中应报告的肠病毒感染并发重症确定病例与病毒性感染症合约实验室之肠病毒感染检验阳性病例，分别应用绘图、卡方适合度检定、分解法与圆形分布法进行分析。

In analysis of these data, we proceed an descriptive statistic analysis by using SAS statistic software tool to analyze representative of samples, chi-square test of independence, factor analysis and the model test.

The study included the survey responses of 377 randomly selected fourth, fifth, and sixth grade students in Yi-lan County public elementary schools.
