The results obtained in this study are as follows:(1) The result of species analysis shows that Spumellaria was dominant in the more than 190 species identified, and the radiolarian assemblage of the northern area of Okinawa Trough belong to warm-water fauna compared to their available ecology knowledge.

结果表明：（1）初步鉴定190个种，其中泡沫虫目Spumellaria在种和个体数量上占绝对优势，与有关资料对照表明，冲绳海槽北部的放射虫组合属热带大洋暖水动物群。

Analyses of the sedimentary textures and structures, ecological features of the faunas, stratigraphic distribution and occurrence environment of radiolarian cherts indicate that the Weimei Formation belong to littoral-neritic sediments as is the case with the quartz sandstone at the top of the Menkadun Formation deposited synchronously with it.
