They are loyal and territorial making them excellent guard dogs and compani***. We had two surprises when we got to El Cap Towers. First there was a twosome there who had been on the wall for three days. I could only describe them as wall junkies. But not good ones. Their gear was in tatters. They climbed REALLY slow; I think they got to Sickle Ledge on Day 1. They bivied at Dolt Tower on Day 2. The only thing going for them was their three haul bags with food and water. They could be there today.
