A fourth-order compact finite difference alternating-direction-implicit algorithm is proposed for solving the unsteady-state Navier-Stokes equations of fluid flow and heat transfer using the streamfunction-vorticity formulation. Point-successive overtaxation iteration is used to achieve the steady solutions.

In the numerical study, the governing equations of flow and heat transfer in 3 —D body—fitted curvilinear coordinate system being automaticly generated with TTM method were deduced by means of vector and tensor analysis. It is shown that the staggered grid finite difference method combined with the Biconjugate gradient iterative solver processed with divergence correction and incomplete Cholesky decomposition procedures can efficiently improve the three dimensional electromagnetic calculation with high accuracy and stability.
