Epiphytic bacteria were isolated from sporophytic thallus collected from Qingdao and Dalian or gametophytic filaments stored in our lab of Laminaria japonica. Identification was done using both traditional physiological and biochemical way and molecular method. Phylogeny tree was established based on 16S rRNA gene sequence analyses, and some sequences of epiphytic strains from both sporophyte and gametophyte were different from all the sequences already exit and could be the new species.

In our study, 3 genotypies have been respectively demonstrated in UL139 and UL149 for the first time, and the corelations between certain genotypical structure and certain diseases were also proposed; The existence of the 3 genotypes of UL144 was foremost verified in isolates from congenital infants; Furthermore, the UL140, UL141 and UL145 genes were observed to be greatly discrepant to those had been described previously: comparing with Toledo, 231 nt are inserted in UL140, 2 more ORFs are obtained in UL141, and the UL145 ORF moves upstream by 90 nt. Except UL144, the sequences of 18 else genes in clinical isolates were submitted for the first time, and 479 sequences were assigned by GeneBank in total. Relevantly, 9 papers were published.

This papersummarizes the studies on glycinin including components,structure and gene families.The homogeneity of the glycinin gene sequences was compared by bioinformatics.Heredity Distances of the six glycinin genes were analyzed. Special emphasis is laidupon comparing the sequences and components of amino acids in the glycinin. Thecontents of major amino acids in the intact glycinin and in the acid and basic peptideswere analyzed. In view of others and our researches, we advance some new thinkingand tactics of improving rice nutritional quality by using glycinin genes.

In the research, one kind of guzmania species named ostara was employed to be as material, and the full-length cDNA plasmid library of floral organ was constructed successfully by using SMART technology. The library had 3×10^6 original titer and more than 1 kb insert fragments. After 5'EST sequencing from 2004 positive clone chosen at random and clustering analyse, 1 758 high-quality sequences and 1 365 unigenes including 175 contigs and 1 195 singlets were obtained. These unigenes had 1 283 valid ORFs. COG analysis showed that those proteins coded by EST sequences were divided into 22 classes. Through blast analysis, full length or part cDNA of some genes controlling flower color, development of floral organs, florescence regulation and other breeding value genes were obtained.
