文章对目前我国城镇居民消费结构所处阶段作出了判断，认为已经处于总体小康型消费阶段；借助扩展线性支出系统模型，运用时间序列分析、横截面数据分析、恩格尔系数分析和弹性分析等手段，我们发现转型时期我国城镇居民消费结构具有总体消费水平偏低、运动方向逐步趋于优化、重物质消费、轻文化和劳务消费、横向二元化、雷同化等特征。
