In this thesis, shikonin, cryptotanshinone and 5-fluorouracil (5-FU) were selected as the objects for several aspect studies: In Chaper 2, the electrochemical behavior of shikonin was investigated by cyclic voltammetry, linear sweep voltammetry, chronocoulometry and bulk electrolysis with coulometry on a glassy carbon electrode. Triple strand DNA modified electrode was preparated and used to investigate the interaction of shikonin with DNA.
