The argument is at first plausible: given the fact that the Bible does explicitly speak of a series of significant covenants (e.g., the Noahic covenant, the Abrahamic covenant, the Mosaic covenant, the Davidic covenant, and the new covenant) it is striking that a group of people would call themselves "covenant theologians" and yet their most important covenant is not one of the covenants explicitly referred to in the Scriptures!
