As in other vertebrates, its growth is mainly controlled by growth hormone . Few data are available concerning the regulation of GH in grouper. In this paper, the regulation of growth hormone release from pituitary of orange-spotted grouper and its mRNA level was determined by radioimmunoassay and RNase protection assay.
