This paper reviewed the developments in 2-D numerical model of the water flow. By means of the latest observation data of the prototype, the detailed analysis was made on the major thalweg, section, island and bottomland, the erosion and deposition of the river bed and the scour hole near the dock and the law of the fluvial process was obtained.
