We once had a Teacher 我们曾经有过一个老师

The Teacher of teachers, 教师的老师，

He changed the world for the better 他改变了世界变得更美好

And made us better creatures, 并让我们更好的生物，

Oh Allah we’ve shamed ourselves 哦，真主，我们已经受羞辱自己

We’ve strayed from Al-Mu’allim, 我们从铝Muallim误入，

Surely we’ve wronged ourselves 当然，我们已经委屈自己

What will we say in front him? 什么将我们在前面他说什么？

(O Chosen One, O intercessor of the worlds) （O选中的人，世界上邻代祷）

He prayed while others slept 他祈祷，而其他人睡

While others ate he’d fast, 而其他人吃了，他倒是很快，

While they would laugh he wept 虽然他们会笑他哭了

Until he breathed his last, 直到他咽气，

His only wish was for us to be 他唯一的愿望就是我们要

Among the ones who prosper, 在那些谁蓬勃发展，

Ya Mu’allim peace be upon you, 雅Muallim平安归于你，

Truly you are our Teacher, 你真是我们的老师，

Nuru ‘Ayni ya Muhammad 努鲁“艾尼雅穆罕默德

(Light of my eye O Muhammad) （我的眼睛哦，穆罕默德之光）

He taught us to be just and kind 他告诉我们是公正和善良

And to feed the poor and hungry, 并养活穷人和饥饿，

Help the wayfarer and the orphan child 帮助旅行者和孤儿

And to not be cruel and miserly, 并没有残酷和吝啬，

His speech was soft and gentle, 他的讲话轻柔，

Like a mother stroking her child, 就像母亲抚摸着她的孩子，

His mercy and compassion, 他的怜悯和同情，

Were most radiant when he smiled 是最灿烂的时候，他笑了
