"Beetlejuice" is more than just a movie name -- foodmakers regularly use crushed female cochineal beetles to dye food, particularly certain yogurts, juices and candy, The Wall Street Journal reported today.

"甲虫汁"这不仅仅是个电影的名，食品生产商会常规地将雌性的胭脂虫甲虫压榨取汁，作为食品着色剂，以用在酸奶，果汁和糖果中为多。

These beetles were identified as belonging to 19 families, among which Carabidae accounted for 30.48%, Staphylinidae 26.97%, Nitidulidae 19.23% of the total, respectively. These three families were dominant groups in the study area because of each more than 10% of the total, respectively. Curculionidae accounted for 9.73 %, Elateridae 5.9%, Chrysomelidae 2.41 % and Scarabaeidae 1.03% of the total.

本研究采集甲虫标本3104号，分属于19科，其中步甲科、隐翅甲科和露尾甲科分别占总数的30.48%、26.97%和19.23%，共同构成了研究地区地表甲虫的优势类群，象甲科、叩甲科、叶甲科和金龟科为常见类群，其余12科为比较不常见的类群。

The diversity of litter-laser beetles was investigated in Wuyishan Nature Reserve. Four areas were selected. Xujiachang, Tongmuguan, Shisigongli and Huanggang-Mountain. We built up 22 plots mainly using pitfall traps. 16 beetle families, were found among the 1625 captured specimens, of which 31.0% was. Staphylinidae and 22.6% was Carabidae, Elateridae, Chrysomelidae and Searabaeidae were each above 5% of the todal.

2006年对江西武夷山自然保护区4个地区徐家厂、桐木关、十四公里和黄岗山进行地表甲虫群落组成和多样性的调查，共设样地22块，主要采用巴氏罐诱法、采到标本1625号，隶属16科以隐翅虫科数量最多，占总数的31.0%，步甲科次之、占22.6%，叩甲科叶甲科和金龟子科的数量各占5%以上，它们共同构成该地区地表甲虫的优势类群。

We found that there are many concaves、hollows and holes on its structure; the configuration of this material is compound samdwich; the linkage-structure between elytra adopts the concave-protuberant mesh joint with some bristle.

本文以东方龙虱为重点研究对象，并综合了四个科的十个物种，通过对甲虫鞘翅微结构的观测，发现东方龙虱鞘翅表面遍布着很小的凹坑；从其鞘翅断面来看，内部存在着许多空腔和孔道结构，而且甲虫鞘翅是复合层状结构；对鞘翅间联接处研究发现，联接机构采用了凹凸啮合结构，在局部区域存在微小毛刺和突起结构来增加摩擦接触。

After testing the mechanical property of elytron with nanoindentation, the experiment result shows that values of Cybister tripunctatus's elytron chitin are higher than the average values, and the mechanical property of different testing areas are dissimilar.
