The mainly conclusions in our research are as flowing: tungsten trioxide powders with 100 nm primary particle are obtained by spray drying,calcination and wet milling process, and an average size of quadric particle composed of agglomerated particles is 0.64 μm; tungtsen powders with 39 nm grain size and 60 -100 nm primary particle are produced directly from previous tungsten trioxide using one step reduction in hydrogen at 700℃, and an average size of quadric particle of tungsten powder is 2.91 μm; tungsten trioxide and copper tungstate compound powders with 100 nm - 200 nm primary particle are produced using ammonia metatungsten and copper nitrate as raw materials by spray drying,calcination and wet milling process;the compound powders are transformed completely into tungsten and copper compound powders by reduction in hydrogen at 700℃,in which tungsten grain size is 59 nm and copper grain size is 51 nm; primary particle size of compound powders is 80 - 120 nm,and an average size of agglomerated quadric particle is 1.86 μm; tungsten nitride powders with 35 nm grain size are prepared from tungsten trioxide powders by nitrogen treatment thoroughly in pure ammonia at 650℃, and an average size of agglomerated quadric particle is 0.64 μm in normal temperature.

One is low valence vanadium oxide thin films were deposited by direct current facing target magnetron sputtering firstly, and then thermal oxidated; the other is high valence vanadium oxide thin films were deposited by ion beam sputtering, then thermal deoxidated. Vanadium oxide thin films with phase transition were obtained at the lower thermal process temperature 300℃, which is compatible with MEMS technologys. The composition of VO_x thin film fabricated by first method includes mainly VO_2, V2O3 and VO_, the TCR is -2.25%/K, the TCR gradually increases with phase transition temperature decreases. The composition of VO_x thin film fabricated by the second method includes mainly VO_2, V2O5 and V2O3 , and the resulting VO_x thin filmTCR is -3.0%/K. The TCR of phase transition vanadium oxide thin films made by second method is higher than that made by first method for the existance of V2O5 in thin films.

The gaseous impurities in the alloys were well controlled with the sum of C, N and O less than 500wppm. For the first time it was found the strong interaction between Cr-Ti-CON, which reduces the mobility of Ti and CON, enhancing high-temperature strength and the aging-hardening property, and keeping the cold-work induced hardening at higher temperature. Aging-hardening could increase the tensile strength of V-4Cr-4Ti by 30% and could be utilized at 00 C for better economical performane of a vanadium structure. Hydrogen release will occur for the alloys tensile loaded at room temperature, which will affect the safety of a vanadium structure due to the resulting dimensional instability. For hydrogen embrittlement, impact toughness and fracture toughness of the alloy showed higher sensitivity than the tensile test elongation,so the toughness should be used as a new standard for the assessment of the embrittlement. Vanadium alloys were easily oxidized in air.
