In this paper, a long divinable time evaluation and a short time prediction of some vibration signals of a turbine generator set is processed by the largest Lyapunov exponent mode. And the results show that the method is certainly accurate and reliable to predict future state of a turbine generator set. As a matter of fact, the method can be used to prediction to future running state of any other complex mechanical equipment.

In this paper, the research object is the XM18 spherical generator, in order to improve the dynamic behavior of the machine tool, the following aspects have been studied in this thesis: Firstly, based on the elasticity theory and finite element analysis theory, the finite element models of the lathe bed, dovetail, dovetail shelf, headstock, fanlike plank and millhead shelf, which were the main parts of the spherical generator, were built up using ANSYS9.0.
