The results were as follows:(1) The structures of the SLCS consisted of two independent factors, viz. Self-Competence and Self-Liking, and ratio of variance of self-competence was higher than self-liking.(2) The SLCS had adequate item validity, homogeneity reliability, construct validity and discriminative validity.(3) Self-competence of male undergraduates from arts and humanities showed higher than female ones, but self-competence of female undergraduates from engineering and technology showed higher than male ones.
