Article 38 If a surveyor fails to implement the general survey scheme, forges or alters any data, orders by force or incites the object under general survey to provide any false data, the statistical organ under the people's government at or above the county level or the investigation team dispatched by the National Bureau of Statistics of China shall order him to make correction and impose on him an administrative sanction or disciplinary sanction, or may circulate a notice on criticism.

第三十七条地方、部门、单位的领导人自行修改农业普查资料，强令、授意普查办公室、普查人员和普查对象篡改农业普查资料或者编造虚假数据，对拒绝、抵制篡改农业普查资料或者拒绝、抵制编造虚假数据的人员打击报复的，依法给予行政处分或者纪律处分，并由县级以上人民政府统计机构或者国家统计局派出的调查队给予通报批评；构成犯罪的，依法追究刑事责任。
