Methods In experimental group, intersegmental fixation of lumbar spine were made in 24 adult New Zealand rabbits, and after 3 and 6 months the changes of cartilage end-plate in fixed segments were examined with LM and TEM, and the results were compared with the structures of cartilage end-plate in 8 controlled rabbits.
