If houses became trees 如果房子成了树

And flowers turned to stone 和鲜花变成石头

And there were no families 并且没有家庭

And people lived alone 和人独居

   

If buildings started laughing 如果建筑物开始大笑

And windows cried 和Windows哭了

And feet started clapping 和脚开始鼓掌

And out came inside 和外面传来的内部

   

If mountains fell in slivers 如果山脉条子下跌

And the sky began to bleed 和天空开始流血

And blood filled up the rivers 和血填补了河流

And prisoners were freed 和囚犯被释放

   

If the stars fell apart 如果星星土崩瓦解

And the ocean dried up 和海洋干涸

And the world was one big heart 而世界是一个大心脏

And decided to stop 并决定停止

   

If children grew up happier 如果孩子一天天长大更幸福

And they could run with the wolves 他们可以与狼跑

And they never felt trapped 他们从来不觉得困

Or hungry or unloved 或饥饿，或没人爱

   

If cats walked on water 如果猫在水上行走

And birds had bank accounts 和鸟类有银行账户

And we loved one another 我们彼此相爱
