Reflecting from my deathbed 从我的临终反映

I'm balancing life's riches 我平衡人生的财富

against the ditches 对沟渠

and the flat gray years in-between 和平坦灰色年在两者之间

all I can see are the never-laid 我看到的一切都在不停铺设

that's the never played symphonies 那是从来没有打过交响乐

   

I can't see those who tried to love me 我看不到那些谁试图来爱我

or those who felt they understood me 或者那些谁觉得他们了解我

and I can't see those who 我看不到那些谁

very patiently put up with me 很耐心地忍受我

All I can see are the never-laid 所有我能看到的是从来没有铺

or the never played symphonies 或没玩过交响乐

and you jumped into my face 你跳进我的脸

and laughed and kissed me on the cheek 笑了起来，吻了我的脸颊

and then were gone forever 然后分别一去不复返

not quite 不大

   

Black sky in the daytime 黑天白天

and I don't much mind dying 而且我自己也不会在意死去

when there is nothing left to care for anymore 当没有留下来照顾了

just the never layed 只是从来没有奠定

the never played symphonies 在从来没有打过交响乐

and you slid right through my fingers 你通过我的手指向右滑动

no not literally 不随便

but metaphorically 但比喻

and now you're all I see 现在你是我所看到的

as the light fades 随着光线渐暗
